Day1: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park
Upon your morning arrival at the Kenyatta International Airport, meet with our company safari guide. Take the safari orientation and after take a leisurely drive to Amboseli National Park, located at the foot of Africa’s highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro (approximately 4 hrs.). On the way visit Maasai Village. Arrive for lunch at Sopa Amboseli Lodge, followed by an afternoon game viewing drive. Visiting Maasai village after safari – Later as the sun sets, you will be transferred back to your accommodation for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: F/B
The snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro rises above a saucer of clouds and dominates every aspect of Amboseli. This park covers only 150 square miles but despite its small size and its fragile ecosystem it supports a wide range of mammals (well over 50 of the larger species) and birds (over 400 species)
Day2: Amboseli National Park – Nairobi
After breakfast in morning take game drive in Amboseli to enjoy this beautiful and often overlooked park. Where the staggering views of Mount Kilimanjaro throw shadows across the terrain dotted with elephants. Picnic lunch on observation hill – Later on game drive en- route as you leave the park. Depart for Nairobi arriving at Anga Africa Camp in time for dinner and overnight stay. Meal plan: F/B
Day3: Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve
After breakfast drive further north to the semi-arid area of Samburu (approx. 6 hrs. drive) with a lunch on the way. Evening game drive in Samburu, Dinner and overnight stay at Sopa Samburu Lodge. Meal plan: F/B
Samburu National Reserve is one of the lesser-known National Parks but is nevertheless teeming with life. Situated alongside the Ewaso Nyiro River, there is plenty to attract wildlife from the surrounding savannah plains. The reserve is rich in wildlife with an abundance of rare northern specialist species such as the Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk and the Beisa Oryx (also referred to as Samburu Special Five). The reserve is also popular with elephants. Large predators such as the lion, leopard and cheetah are an important attraction (Kamunyak the miracle lioness that adopted the baby Oryx is a resident in the reserve).
Day4: Samburu National Reserve – Ol Pejeta
After early morning tea/coffee depart for a game drive returning back in time for breakfast. After late breakfast depart to Ol Pejeta arriving in your Serena Sweet Waters Camp in time for lunch. Enjoy a late afternoon game-drive where you will also have an opportunity to the visit the Chimpanzee sanctuary. Since Ol Pejeta is private conservancy activities such as bush walks and night game-drives are also available at an additional cost. Dinner and overnight stay at Sweet Waters Camp, Meal Plan: F/B
Ol Pejeta is an 110,000 acre private conservancy in central Kenya, is home to the ‘Big Five’ of Africa and has one of the highest wildlife densities in Kenya. The conservancy is the largest black rhino conservancy in East Africa in addition to the southern white rhinos and the critically endangered northern white rhinos. The conservancy also hosts the only Chimpanzee Sanctuary in Kenya. Ol Pejeta is an ornithological paradise with over 300 bird species.
Day5: Ol Pejeta – Lake Naivasha
Have breakfast and after take pre – morning game drive and after late breakfast depart to Lake Naivasha with picnic lunch at Thompsons Falls arriving Naivasha about 4 pm in the afternoon. Boat ride on the Lake Naivasha (1 hr.) and Dinner and overnight stay at Sanctuary Farm. Meal plan: F/B
Lake Naivasha is a freshwater Lake surrounded by forests of Yellow Barked Acacia also known as Yellow Fever trees. The forests abound with bird life and make it a bird-watcher paradise with over 350 species recorded. There is a healthy population of hippos as well. Activities such as boat rides and visits to Crescent Island are popular here.
Day6: Lake Naivasha – Maasai Mara National Park
After breakfast at 09:00am drive southwards along the floor of the Great Rift Valley with stopover at the view point. Then proceed to Maasai Mara with picnic lunch arriving in the afternoon. Later proceed for evening game drive which is well known for its rich, tree studded grassland and rolling hills. The famous Mara is also renowned for its great herds of plain game, black-manned lions, leopard and cheetah but also contains numerous elephant and virtually every type of wildlife to be found in Kenya. Day7: Full Day Maasai Mara National Park
After breakfast with picnic lunch, you spend full day game viewing with a visit to the Mara River where there is concentration of a lot of animals. You will have your picnic lunch as you watch the crocodiles, hippos and other animals living in water. This day you will have the option of going to visit the Maasai villages. All meals and overnight stay at your Sopa Mara Lodge. Meal plan: F/B
Day8: Maasai Mara National Park – Nairobi
After breakfast and take short morning game drive in Maasai Mara National Reserve and proceed to Nairobi with a lunch on the way. Dinner and overnight stay at Anga Afrika Camp, Meal plan: F/B
Day9: Nairobi – Kigali – Volcanoes National Park
Have breakfast and after transfer to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your morning flight to Kigali International Airport and upon arrival meet with our safari guide and transfer to Volcanoes National Park for overnight stay at Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel/Lebambou Gorilla Lodge/Hotel Muhabura. Day10: Gorilla Trek Rwanda & IbyI’wacu Cultural Village
Have breakfast and after transfer to the park headquarters for briefing about the forest and mountain gorillas and after enter into the jungle looking for the mountain gorillas and when you meet them take amazing and unforgettable photos and videos. After return and stop somewhere for your packed lunch and after return to the park offices for your gorilla trekking certificate.Evening visit to the IbyI’wacu Cultural Village where you will experience the Rwanda cultural performance and the history of Rwanda and here you will meet with once the gorilla hunters and now the gorilla Eco – Warriors. Dinner and overnight stay at Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel/Lebambou Gorilla Lodge/Hotel Muhabura. Meal plan: F/B
Day11: Volcanoes National Park – Visit Azizi Life Experience
Have breakfast and after transfer to Muhanga village visiting the Azizi Life Experience where you will have typical touch life with the local communities in activities like farming, water collection, food preparing among others from this local tourist place. Lunch and after transfer back to Kigali and when you reach on time take Kigali city tour visiting some of the craft shops like the Caplaki Village Market, dinner and overnight stay at Mille Collines Hotel/Haven Boutique Hotel Rwanda/Step Town Motel. Day12: Kigali – Visit Akagera National Park – (Sun Set Boat Cruise)
Have breakfast and after transfer to the Akagera National Park for the game drive safari in Rwanda and upon arrival check in at the lodge for lunch. Take an evening sun set boat cruise along the Lake Ihema where you can spot wildlife and birds at the banks of the Lake. Dinner and overnight at Ruzizi Tented Camp/Akagera Game Lodge. Meal plan: F/B
Day13: Game Drive & Boat Cruise
Have breakfast and after go for game drive safari in Rwanda looking for more wildlife species and bird species that cross from the Tanzanian parks corridors. Lunch and after take boat cruise along the Lake Ihema where you can spot more wildlife and birds that were missed on game drive and they are found at the banks of the Lake. Dinner and overnight at Ruzizi Tented Camp/Akagera Game Lodge. Meal plan: F/B
Day14: Akagera National Park – Kigali – Departure
Have breakfast and after take another en-route wildlife safari looking for more African wildlife and birds found in this park. After with lunch en-route transfer back Kigali to catch up your return flight back home. End of services!
