Governors’ Camp Collection 2020
The level of excitement is at an all-time high as we get closer to opening our newest property, Governors’ Mugie House. In the lead up, we’re thrilled to offer a first look at the latest developments which includes refreshing plunge pools, vibrant tropical gardens and luxury bathrooms, with our newly released photos!
Perched on a hill in the heart of Mugie Conservancy, the house enjoys sweeping views across the vast open landscape of Laikipia in Northern Kenya. A large main house with open log fires will host guests for relaxing cocktails and delicious meals, prepared by a creative kitchen with ingredients sourced from our very own vegetable garden. An infinity pool-with-a-view provides lovely shaded areas and a casual, alfresco dining experience.
There are eight individual round stone cottages, each offering lavish bathroom interiors and in-room fireplaces. A waterhole out front attracts a variety of wildlife passing by with a purpose-built ‘hide’ to offer some close encounters!
Mugie Conservancy is at the forefront of conservation, operating as a low-impact cattle ranch alongside preserving the delicate and productive ecosystems that host abundant wildlife including some of Northern Kenya’s key endemic species. By staying at Mugie you can witness firsthand, its conservation goals through engaging activities such as Big Cat tracking and visits to the anti poaching unit.
