The snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro rises above a saucer of clouds and dominates every aspect of Amboseli. This park covers only 150 square miles but despite its small size and its fragile ecosystem it supports a wide range of mammals (well over 50 of the larger species) and birds (over 400 species)

Day2: Amboseli National Park – Nairobi

After breakfast in morning take game drive in Amboseli to enjoy this beautiful and often overlooked park. Where the staggering views of Mount Kilimanjaro throw shadows across the terrain dotted with elephants. Picnic lunch on observation hill – Later on game drive en – route as you leave the park. Depart for Nairobi arriving at Best Western Premier Hotel in time for dinner and overnight stay. Meal plan: H/B

Day3: Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve

After breakfast drive further north to the semi-arid area of Samburu (approx. 6 hrs. drive) with a lunch on the way. Evening game drive in Samburu, Dinner and overnight stay at Sopa Samburu Lodge. Meal plan: F/B

The reserve is rich in wildlife with an abundance of rare northern specialist species such as the Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk and the Beisa Oryx (also referred to as Samburu Special Five). The reserve is also popular with elephants. Large predators such as the lion, leopard and cheetah are an important attraction (Kamunyak the miracle lioness that adopted the baby Oryx is a resident in the reserve).

Day4: Samburu National Reserve – Ol Pejeta

After early morning tea/coffee depart for a game drive returning back in time for breakfast. After late breakfast depart to Ol Pejeta arriving in your Ol Pejeta Safari Cottages in time for lunch. Enjoy a late afternoon game-drive where you will also have an opportunity to the visit the Chimpanzee sanctuary. Since Ol Pejeta is private conservancy activities such as bush walks and night game-drives are also available at an additional cost. Dinner and overnight stay at Ol Pejeta Safari Cottages. Ol Pejeta is an 110,000-acre private conservancy in central Kenya, is home to the ‘Big Five’ of Africa and has one of the highest wildlife densities in Kenya. The conservancy is the largest black rhino conservancy in East Africa in addition to the southern white rhinos and the critically endangered northern white rhinos. The conservancy also hosts the only Chimpanzee Sanctuary in Kenya. Ol Pejeta is an ornithological paradise with over 300 bird species.

Day5: Ol Pejeta – Lake Naivasha

Have breakfast depart to Lake Naivasha with picnic lunch at Thompsons Falls arriving Naivasha about 4 pm in the afternoon. Boat ride on the Lake Naivasha (1 hr.) and Dinner and overnight stay at Sanctuary Farm. Lake Naivasha is a freshwater Lake surrounded by forests of Yellow Barked Acacia also known as Yellow Fever trees. The forests abound with bird life and make it a bird-watcher paradise with over 350 species recorded. There is a healthy population of hippos as well. Activities such as boat rides and visits to Crescent Island are popular here.

Day6: Lake Naivasha – Maasai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast at 09:00am drive southwards along the floor of the Great Rift Valley with stopover at the view point. Then proceed to Masai Mara with picnic lunch arriving in the afternoon. Later proceed for evening game drive which is well known for its rich, tree studded grassland and rolling hills. The famous Mara is also renowned for its great herds of plain game, black-manned lions, leopard and cheetah but also contains numerous elephants and virtually every type of wildlife to be found in Kenya. Dinner and overnight stay at Enkorok Mara Camp. Meal plan: F/B

Day7: Full Day in Maasai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast with picnic lunch, you spend full day game viewing with a visit to the Mara River where there is concentration of a lot of animals. You will have your picnic lunch as you watch the crocodiles, hippos and other animals living in water. This day you will have the option of going to visit the Maasai villages. All meals and overnight stay at your Enkorok Mara Camp. Meal plan: F/B

Day8: Maasai Mara National Reserve – Nairobi City Tour

After breakfast proceed to Nairobi with a lunch on the way. After visit the Sheldrick elephant orphanage center and the Giraffe center and after visit Carnivore Restaurant for dinner. Drop off at the JKIA airport for your return flight back home. End of services!

Have breakfast and after transfer to Mara Olekiombo Airstrip to board the Air Kenya Express at 08:45 AM fly to Entebbe International Airport in Uganda via the Kisumu for immigration and then proceed to the airport where you will arrive at 11:30 AM and you will be picked up from the airport and transfer to the start point cruising to the Ngamba Islands Chimpanzee Sanctuary where you will experience the view of the orphaned chimps and the boat takes like 45 minutes cruise to the sanctuary and upon arrival view the chimps and thereafter have lunch at the sanctuary and after return back to Entebbe. Dinner and overnight at Karibu Guest House. Meal plan: H/B – No Dinner

Day5: Entebbe – Bwindi Forest National Park

Have breakfast and after embark the safari jeep and transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park with lunch en-route at Igongo Restaurant, Mbarara. After continue to the park which habits half of the mountain gorillas in the world. Dinner and overnight at Rushaga Gorilla Camp. Meal plan: F/B

Day6: Gorilla Trekking Experience – Lake Bunyonyi

Early morning breakfast and after transfer to the starting point of the gorilla trekking experience in the mist. Take briefing from the park head ranger and after you will be allocated to a certain gorilla family and then in a group of 08 members enter into the jungle to see the mountain gorillas. It is one hour allowed to stay with the great apes to take photos and videos. After return to the park offices for your gorilla trekking certificate. Lunch and after transfer to Lake Bunyonyi staying at the Arcadia Cottages for refreshment as you wait for dinner and overnight stay. Meal plan: F/B

Day7: Lake Bunyonyi – Entebbe

Have breakfast and after go for boat cruise along the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi visiting various dotted islands and after embark the safari jeep and transfer back to Kampala with lunch en-route. Overnight stay at Karibu Guest House. Meal plan: H/B – No Dinner

16th & 17th January Day3 & 4: Masai Mara National Reserve

Arise early each morning to make the most of your spectacular location. Each day will offer you the option of three game drives within the Mara National Reserve, immersing yourself in this rich wildlife destination. For a particularly memorable and unforgettable experience, enjoy a surreal journey in a Hot Air Balloon over the Masai Mara plains viewing the African wildlife species. Today, take the opportunity for a last early morning game drive and breakfast overlooking the plains before a short transfer to the Musiara Airstrip. Therefore, in Nairobi our driver will be waiting to take you to the International Airport for your 17:45PM flight back home.

The parking list for safari include the healthy documents, valid passport and visa, walking shoes, rain gears, sun screen, insect repellent, hut, yellow fever vaccination card among others.

What to wear/bring

Dress codes are informal. Daytime temperatures are generally warm, so bring lots of light clothing, supplemented by light sweaters for the cool evenings and heavier clothing for the higher altitudes. At night your clothing is the best idea and we suggest: long sleeved shirts, cotton or gore tex trousers, walking shoes, socks that you can tuck your trousers into, light gloves to protect your hands from thorns and nettles, a hat and sunglasses to provide protection against the sun and a waterproof jacket in neutral colors may come in handy in the moist mountains. Travel light and remember that soft-sided luggage is required. One medium sized duffel bag and one small day pack (carry-on) per person should be adequate. Laundry services are available at most accommodations. You should also pack some zip lock bags for spare clothing, cameras, binoculars and film.
